    Hi good people I am Reshan and have 15 years sheet metal experience doing hvac ducting and now i want to advance into
    boilermaking, can someone please advise me
    How how to do so taking the next step, what to do? Which trade centre to go etc??

    Why are that so difficyld to find an underground job and had been scamed two times in one month

    • Don't apply for jobs especially when they want money i.e Gumtree .There are reputable recruitment agencies such as Hire Resolve etc do background checks.lt is not easy to work on underground mines especially if u don't have experience. Rather start at contractor companies gaining experience and then go for permanent jobs at mines.l am working for an underground mine but l did my training at a petrochemical company.

    I'm qualified boilermaker and have experience for 20 years ,l am also a qualified welder.l have Quality control welding inspection level1 and fabrication supervision level1(SAIW). I am looking for a company to groom me to become an experienced inspector of pressurized equipment (IPE)

    why cant p/f and b/making made to be 1 thing? the skills in both trades are basically the same.

    • You cannot equate pipefitting to boiler making.Pipefitting is a sub course of which it can be incorporated to a subjects contents for apprentice boilermaker.

    • Keep on applying until u get a job never give up to be a boilermaker sometimes is not easy u need to be strong is being a soccer player I'm talking from experience yo chance will come

    Im a qualified boilermaker with redseal certificate & near to 20 years experience. I work for a company called Gri Windsteel South Africa. At this company Qualified Artisans getting the same rates as semi-skilled artisans. I did train some of my fellow boilermakers who are semi-skilled & did start after me but still getting the same rate as them.The pay rate is not what a qualified boilermaker should get. What can i do?
