• Do we now have a turn around in Mining Industry and Jobs? Victor Chandipo 30 Nov 2016

  In the last few weeks, I followed with Keen interest the commodity prices on the major metal exchanges like London Metal Exchange. Looking at the major commodities like copper and Nickel the prices seems to have rebound with copper now trading at close to $6,000 per ton. I am yet to see excitement around the world on exploration, mine expansion and re-starting of project put on hold as a result of plummeting commodity prices.
  Some the questions on my mind are;
  "have we made a turn in the mining industry?"
  "How much are major players spending or planning to spend in exploration and new projects?"
  "When do we expect turn around in the mining jobs?"
